Please consider joining me, along with several of our Board members and Valley landowners, in making this organization a benefactor in your will, or providing a Legacy gift to the Trust. Your gift will help establish a secure future for the Trust allowing us to forever defend the conservation easements under our care, while we continue to protect additional land and resources of the Cacapon and Lost River Valley.
My family came to Hampshire County, West Virginia eight generations ago; I am very proud of this heritage. During my thirteen-year tenure (2000-2013), as the Trust’s Executive Director, our organization joined many landowners in voluntarily and permanently protecting over 13,000 acres, becoming nationally accredited, and in being recognized by West Virginia University Press with their publication of our book, Listening to the Land: Stories from the Cacapon and Lost River Valley.
I am thrilled about these accomplishments, and many more over those years! As retirement loomed, I realized that there was one more important step for me — establishing the Cacapon Legacy Fund.
A Legacy is about what you leave behind, and how you will be remembered. We hope that you will add to your Legacy by considering a donation to the Cacapon Legacy Fund. Please call Emily Warner, the Land Trust’s Executive Director at (304) 856-1188 to discuss your interests or answer any questions. Her email address is emily@cacapon.org.
Thank you,
Nancy Ailes
